The VN-Index saw no material change on Monday, increasing by 0.04% (+0.4 pts) to close the trading day at 1,249.6. Market activity was mostly quiet, with participants largely staying on the sidelines. However, select stocks, particularly HDB, gained attention for its foreign ownership limit adjustment plans and significant foreign investor buying. Throughout the index, there were 176 gainers, 240 laggards, and 68 stocks that were unchanged. Total trading volume decreased compared to the previous trading day to USD390.0mn.
* Banks HDB (+2.2%), MBB (+1.6%), and BID (+1.0%) posted strong gains. VCB (-0.9%), VPB (-0.3%), and LPB (-0.8%) declined.
* Several large-cap real estate stocks lost value, including VHM (-0.3%), VIC (-0.1%), BCM (-0.1%), KBC (-1.0%), and NVL (-2.5%). VRE (+0.3%), KDH (+0.4%), SIP (+0.6%), and VPI (+0.9%) gained.
