Market wrap: VN-Index falls after Trump announces more China tariffs. Asian markets, including the VN-Index, dropped on Friday following US President Donald Trump announcing that the US will add 10% tariffs on an additional USD300bn worth of Chinese goods starting September 1. The VN-Index broke a streak of two straight positive sessions as it closed down six tenths of a percent. The index was also down two tenths of a percent for the week, snapping a streak of four consecutive positive weeks.
