The VN-Index gained 1.12% today – building on yesterday's gains - due to a late rally led by banks. VPB (+6.7%), CTG (+5.3%), MBB (+4.4%) and BID (+3.1%) were among banking tickers which performed well today. Trading volume increased by 14.5% from yesterday's level to 155.9 million shares, equivalent to a trading value of VND3,532bn (USD153.5mn). VRE (+6.9%), VPB (+6.7%) and PNJ (+4%) recorded good gains after being reportedly added to the VN30 index yesterday.
