The VN-Index was trading above the 1,000-point threshold on Monday until a sharp sell-off in the market’s final hour caused the index to end the day down one tenth of a percent. For the month of September, the index gained 1.3%. Additionally, the index increased 4.9% in Q3 2019. VCB (-1.0%) was the leading contributor to the day’s decline followed by fellow bank BID (-2.1%).
