The VN-Index gained eight tenths of a percent on Monday to reach a nearly 30-month high as trading turnover on HOSE reached USD436.6mn. Banks VCB (+2.2%) and BID (+3.2%) were the top two contributors to the day’s gain. In addition, TCB (+1.0%) and VPB (+1.1%) increased. Steel tickers experienced a strong day as HPG (+3.4%), HSG (+6.8%) and NKG (+6.9%) jumped.
