On Tuesday, the VN-Index bounced back from Monday’s loss, gaining 1.9% after positive news regarding Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine lifted Wall Street to new highs overnight. VIC (+3.9%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. In addition, VHM (+2.2%) increased. Several banks posted gains, including VCB (+2.1%), CTG (+1.9%), VPB (+3.5%), BID (+1.0%) and TCB (+2.0%). Vietnam Rubber, GVR (+6.9%), surged to the daily trading ceiling. GAS (+4.1%) jumped to a seven-week high.
